But I had a colleague in the DA‘s office by the name of Bob Bocci , who was a great trial lawyer and a great trial judge. He had been appointed by Governor Reagan to the superior court in Alameda County and he was a great judge. He was a great trial lawyer and he was a great trial judge. He was very fair and he was very firm. And he was very respected by the defense bar. He was a great guy. So I was talking to him one day and he said , ―Carl, you ought to apply for a judgeship .‖ I said , ―No, I don‘t want to be a judge. I don‘t want to be a judge.‖ He said , ―No, you ought to apply for a judgeship.‖ I said , ―No, I don‘t want to be a judge.‖ He said , ―No, you ought to apply for a judgeship.‖ I said , ―No, I don‘t want to be a judge.
