Paul Boland

Paul Boland was a judge in California who was appointed by Governor Gray Davis and Governor Edmund G. Brown, Jr. He was born in Los Angeles in 1942 and died there in 2007. He had a Bachelor's degree from Loyola University of Los Angeles, a J.D. from the University of Southern California Law Center, and an LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center. He was a professor of law and associate dean at the University of California at Los Angeles School of Law, and a staff attorney and deputy director of litigation at the Western Center on Law and Poverty. He was married to United States District Judge Margaret Morrow and had a son, Patrick Morrow Boland. He was the recipient of the Stanley Mosk Defender of Justice Award in 2007.
