Justice Robert Puglia served on the California Court of Appeal, Third Appellate District for 24 and a half years and on the superior court for three years. He discussed a significant case he worked on involving the Symbionese Liberation Army, which had an impact on the California justice system. He explained the role of the Court of Appeal in providing appellate review of cases emerging from the trial courts, and how the Court of Appeal makes much of the law in California. He shared why he chose a career in public service and the law, and a personal anecdote from his years on the bench. He concluded by expressing his gratitude for the opportunity to serve on the Court of Appeal.
