Justice Timothy Buckley was an Associate Justice for the Court of Appeal, Fifth Appellate District. He was born in Hanford, California in 1945, the son of two school teachers. He looked up to many people, including friends from different walks of life, and enjoyed sports and reading. He attended Lemoore High School, where he was in the same class as Tommie Smith, who went on to own or share 11 world records. After graduating from high school, he attended Coalinga College (now West Hills) and then UC Santa Barbara. He eventually pursued a career in law and became a successful judge.
