Martin N. Buchanan

Justice Martin N. Buchanan was nominated to the Court of Appeal by Governor Gavin Newsom and confirmed in May 2022. Before his appointment, Justice Buchanan was an appellate lawyer for nearly 35 years. He received his law degree from Harvard University and his bachelor’s degree from Brown University.
