Daniel A. Curry
Daniel A. Curry was an Associate Justice for Division 4 from September 2, 1998, to May 1, 2006. He was born on March 28, 1937, in Phoenix, Arizona, and passed away on March 8, 2017.
In terms of education, Curry obtained his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Loyola Law School in 1960. Prior to that, he completed his Bachelor of Science (B.S.) from Loyola University in 1957. He was officially admitted to the State Bar on January 11, 1961.
Curry had a significant judicial experience. He served as an Associate Justice in the California Court of Appeal, Second Appellate District, Division 4 from September 2, 1998, to May 1, 2006. Before that, he was a Judge at the Los Angeles Superior Court from September 21, 1992, to September 2, 1998. He was appointed to this position by Governor Pete Wilson.
In addition to his judicial roles, Curry also had a rich professional background. He was the Vice President and General Counsel at Times Mirror Company from 1987 to 1992. He also held the position of Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Amfac, Inc. from 1970 to 1987. Earlier in his career, he served as a Counsel at Technicolor from 1965 to 1967 and also had a private practice from 1964 to 1967.
