Kathryn Doi Todd
Kathryn Doi Todd was born on January 14, 1942, in Los Angeles, California.
In terms of her education, she completed her Bachelor of Arts at Stanford University in 1963. She then went on to earn her Juris Doctor degree from Loyola University School of Law in 1970. A year later, in 1971, she was admitted to the State Bar.
Kathryn Doi Todd has an extensive judicial experience. She served as an Associate Justice for the California Court of Appeal, Second Appellate District, Division 2 from August 18, 2000, to January 22, 2013. She was appointed to this position by Governor Gray Davis. Prior to this, she was a Judge at the Los Angeles Superior Court from July 1981 to August 2000, a position she was appointed to by Governor Jerry Brown. She also served as a Judge for the Los Angeles Municipal Court from January 1978 to July 1981, also appointed by Governor Jerry Brown.
Before her judicial appointments, Kathryn Doi Todd had a professional background in law practice. She was a partner at Doi & Todd in Los Angeles, California from 1976 to 1977. Before that, she was a sole practitioner in Los Angeles from 1971 to 1976.
