Paul H. Coffee was born on July 10, 1932, in Madera, California. He served as an Associate Justice in Division Six from April 15, 1997, to January 31, 2012.

In terms of education, Paul completed his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1954. He then pursued his Juris Doctor degree from the same university's Boalt School of Law, graduating in 1962. He was admitted to the State Bar on January 15, 1963.

Paul's judicial experience is extensive. He served as an Associate Justice in the California Court of Appeal, Second Appellate District, Division 6 from April 15, 1997, to January 31, 2012. Prior to this, he was a Judge at the San Luis Obispo Superior Court from January 1992 to 1997.

Before his judicial career, Paul had a significant professional background in law. He was a partner at Hoge, Fenton, Jones & Appel in San Luis Obispo, CA from 1975 to 1992. Earlier, he was an associate and later a partner at Wines, Coffee & Robinson from 1963 to 1975.

In addition to his legal career, Paul served in the U.S. Navy from 1954 to 1959. He was designated as a Naval Aviator in 1956 and reached the highest rank of Lieutenant. Paul passed away on November 19, 2020.
