Vincent S. Dalsimer was an Associate Justice in Division 1 from July 17, 1981, to June 30, 1985. He was born on January 11, 1921, in Cincinnati, Ohio, and passed away on April 27, 1999, in Long Beach, California.

In terms of his education, Dalsimer graduated magna cum laude with an LL.B. from Southwestern University in 1949. He had previously completed his undergraduate studies at the same university in 1943. He was admitted to the State Bar on January 5, 1950.

Dalsimer had a rich judicial experience. He served as an Associate Justice in the California Court of Appeal, Second Appellate District, Division 1 from July 17, 1981, to June 30, 1985. He was appointed to this position by Governor Edmund G. Brown, Jr. Prior to this, he was a Judge in the Los Angeles Superior Court from December 15, 1961, to July 17, 1981, a position he was appointed to by Governor Edmund G. Brown, Sr.

Before his judicial career, Dalsimer had a diverse professional background. He was the Director of the Department of Professional and Vocational Standards (now known as the California Department of Consumer Affairs) from 1959 to 1961. He also served as a City Councilman and Vice-Mayor of Bellflower from 1957 to 1959.

In the legal field, he was part of the Dalsimer & Walker firm from 1952 to 1959, and served as a Deputy Attorney General from 1951 to 1952. He also had a private law practice in Bellflower, California, from 1950 to 1951.

In addition to his legal and political career, Dalsimer served in the military. He was a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force Reserve from 1949 to 1959. He also worked as an Electronics Technician from 1946 to 1947. During World War II, from 1943 to 1946, he served in the U.S. Navy.
